Retirement Planning Seminar

Who may attend:  Any Department employee who is currently eligible to retire or within three years of retirement eligibility.  Class sizes are limited to 50 attendees (spouses and domestic partners may also attend).

Retirement eligibility: 60 years of age with at least 5 years of service

                                      55 years of age with at least 10 years of service

                                      30 years of service at any age

This seminar covers a variety of life and financial issues relative to retirement preparation.  The discussion on life issues will provide information to help you make a successful transition from work to retirement.  The discussion on financial issues will include presentations on social security, deferred compensation, and Department-provided benefits, including retirement, health, and dental benefits.  The seminar is a full-day session, beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m. and ending by 4:30 p.m.

Who may attend:  Any Department employee who have at least five years of service.  Class sizes are limited to 50 attendees and enrollment will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
