Board of Administration

The Retirement Board has the sole and exclusive responsibility to administer the Plan for the purpose of providing benefits to Plan members and their beneficiaries, minimize Department contributions, and to defray the reasonable expenses of administration. The duty to Plan members and their beneficiaries takes precedence over all other duties.

The Retirement Board consists of seven members. Three are elected by active members of the Plan to represent the systems in the Department – Power, Water and Joint. Three are ex officio representatives consistent with their positions in the Department – General Manager, Chief Accounting Employee of the LADWP as designated by the Board of Water and Power Commissioners, and a member of the Board of Water and Power Commissioners. One member is a Retiree Representative, who is also appointed by the Board of Water and Power Commissioners.

The members serve as trustees and must act in the exclusive interest of Plan members and their beneficiaries.

	LaTanya Bogin-Jordan, President Joint System Representative Re-elected by active employees for the term from May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2024. President Bogin-Jordan has been on the Retirement Board since August 2013.
	Adolfo Felix, Vice-President Water System Representative Re-elected by active employees for the term from May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2024. Vice President Felix has been on the Retirement Board since May 2018.
	Martin L. Adams Ex-Officio Representative General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Department of Water and Power
	Linda T. Ikegami Ex-Officio Representative, Appointed Chief Accounting Employee of the Department of Water and Power. Appointed by the Board of Water and Power Commissioners on March 1, 2021.
	Betty Johnson Retiree Representative, Appointed Appointed by the Board of Water and Power Commissioners for the term July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024.
	William Truefitt Power System Representative Elected by active employees to complete the term for May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2024. Board Member Truefitt has been on the Retirement Board since May 2022.
